Ihave fibromyalgia and energy is one of my biggest problems. But, this day the weather was wonderful. There was little humidity in the air. In fact, every little thing was okay. But I was having one of those FM days. My legs were weak, I had no energy, and my arms just hung there. “What is Wrong with me?”, I thought.  I was uum, down, or I know, ‘unvitalized’. Yes, that’s how I felt exactly. I keep on having days like this when all my vitality withers away. I had vitality before, but it was gone. Maybe it was one of my medications, it sure wasn’t the weather.


I decided to go out with my husband to Wal-mart. He was just looking for one thing. We walked the aisles until my feet started hurting. While we were walking back to the car I realized that I had stirred up my Vitality again. One of my dear neighbors used to tell me to go outside. She’d say, ‘Go outside! It’ll make you feel better!” All days aren’t that bad, I did photograph the beautiful iris. Photography is one of my hobbies.

Just a little exercise has been blamed for pulling up your energy. That is all it was, some casual walking. And breathing some summer afternoon air. A body in motion tends to stay in motion. Science says that energy begets energy.

Take a walk, as slow as you need it to be. Try it when you’re feeling at FM drag! And be optimistic while you are at it.

    Absolutely! I can’t stand these days of too high heat and humidity to go for a simple slow stroll, and maybe a stop at the swings while I’m at it.
